I have a chance to add one of these to my 29g reef tank, the corals I have in there: Hammer, Orange Montipora Capricornus, Frogspawn, Torch, Zoo's, Ricordea, Bubble, LT Umbrella Leather and various other mushrooms...would he harm any of these? His tankmates would be: 1 Ocellaris Clown, 1 Purple Firefish, 1 Blue/Green Chromis and 1 Yellow Watchman Goby...would he get along?

I don't see why not. I have one in my reef tank and it's an adorable little guy. Spends most of the day hanging out in holes in my rock, and then swims at the front of the glass when no one is near the tank. It's actually got enough gumption to attack my 4" Kole tang if it gets too close. It's rather cute to watch.

I have one. It is the classic bicolor:black with a yellow tail. I have not seen him do harmful. Great little personality.

Great fish but I would watch it, it looks like your getting pretty stocked for a 29 gallon.

smcdonn I know I'm maxing out my bioload but i skim 24/7, do 10% water changes each week and run a DIY AC70 minifuge so i think I would be okay.

So are they known for taking chunks out of SPS? The thing is once i put him in the tank he's in there and I would play hell in getting him out if he did start coral munching.

mine ate all the polyps off of my digitata corals. They're just hit or miss as far as eating SPS.

But all the polyps were gone on my digies...i put em in a different tank and its looking great now...all the polyps are back.
