Skimmer won't work during Hypo treatment

Just wanted to verify that the skimmer won't work during Hyposalinity treatment. Im currently doing the treatment in my tank and found my skimmer not working efficiently anymore. Too much inconsistency in the size of the bubbles.

Skimmers need saltwater. Thus, when hypo treatment, a skimmer will not perform.
