Has anyone used vodka to remove nitrates?

There are several long threads on reef central regarding the vodka method. I suggest to do a search.

I tried it once about a year ago. Didn't work. My trates were in the 70's at the time.

That said some have had success with it when starting with lower concentrations of nitrate.

There are safer ways to reduce nitrate. Give this a read
