i was wondering if all calsium reactors have the problem of stoping once in awhile , what i mean is they like load up and stop dripping in to my tank . if not , what kinds or reactors do not do this . and or what makes this happen .
this gets old after a while to keep fiddling with it .

I have an Aquamedic 1000. Every now and then it does that, I think that it might be the calcium build up on the line. I just open the line all the way and re-set it to normal drips per second.

I was gravity feeding my Precision Marine CR422 and it kept stopping...I too, could open the output and get it started again, but the process was repeated so that I just bought a AquaMedic dosing pump and now run the reactor with it...problem solved. I just leave the output valve wide open and with the controlled input, it automatically controls the output. I am looking to modify the setup again sometime so that the reactor column is more pressurized, and maybe can use my CO2 more efficiently. But for now, it is working nicely.
