Hey everyone, found some stuff growing on the live rock, and would like to know what it is, and if it's bad or not. Thanks.

1. looks like some snail eggs of some sort.
2. just a helpless sponge
3. Hydroids, not to much of a prob, just dont put corals right by them.

Chances are the Hydroids will die off soon. They're quite common with newly established tanks. They seem to go in cycles where they grow and then die off. You should be just fine. #1 is definitely snail eggs. Most likely Cerith snail eggs. They're known for creating that type of pattern when laying eggs. #2 is a sponge. The Sponges are great filter feeders and very cool in a tank. It's nice to see ones that aren't the size of Q-tips...lol.

1. cerith snail eggs that the snail that laid them is needing some practice :)
2. a sponge
3. are Foraminiferans AKA forams not hydroids. they are harmless filter feeders.
