I have a bunch of old liquid test kits. Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, PH etc.
What's the best or enviromentally friendly to dispose of them?

I dump the reagents into the sanitary system, then just pitch the rest.

What if you have a septic?

Unless you're pitching a lot of test kits at the same time, I wouldn't worry. The chemicals aren't that toxic. How many kits and what type do you have to pitch?

I only have one master kit that's like 7 years old thta some one gave me. It's for fresh water so I never had a use for it, and I am tired of pushin it around. It contains tests for nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, Ph and GH.
The septic is 1000 gallons. I figured it would dilute down and not be a problem but I try to screw the environment up as little as possible if I can.
Thanks

I don't think it's going to hurt anything to dump it. I wouldn't worry. I guess you could open up the reagent bottles and let them evaporate for a while, well away from the house, if you want. More air pollution, but less water pollution.
