There is some kind of white clam looking thing attached to the stalk of my frogspawn. Anyone know what it might be?

Sorry no pix because no camera :(

Might be a clam. Or oyster or mussel. Maybe barnacle- Ive seen those numerous times on Frogs.

Do they have the potential to be harmful?

No. The vast majority are harmless filter feeders.

You can pull the clam off with a pair of pliers if it concerns you. But most likely it will eventually just wander off on its own.

I have barnacles attached to my frogspawn, and some type of mussel.
