If anyone has a 15-20 gallon tank--hopefully with a hood/light--for cheap, I need one for my red-eared slider turtles. Thanks!

you might be better off going to glasscages and getting something bigger or finding something bigger right from the start and then you wont have to worry about them growing out of the 15-20 gallon so fast. just for one they say to have atleast a 50 breeder but with more then one you need alot more room because they get about the size of a large dinner plate. it does take a few years for them to get this big but it catches up to you pretty quick, my wife found this out the hard way  If your looking for something to hold you off till you can get a larger tank then you can use a rubbermaid container or something like that, thats what alot of people do while there small or untill they can get a larger tank. where did you get your turtles from anyways? my wife was just looking around the net for one a few weeks ago since we heard there illegal here...

yea, from what I read is that the RES are active swimmers and need a very large setup. A male would be fine in a 75 and a female a 125 cause they get much bigger. Thats just what I read. Since you have 2, I would get them at least a 55-75. I think you said they are around 4"? They need both land and water so a 20 isnt that much room really. But would probably be fine temporary. I dont know...
pit, if you havent already, check kingsnake.com They have some really cool turtles/tortoises in the classifieds.

Hey, guy! Yours is a great deal--I had replied back about it to you that day asking for the tank width and if the lights had the hood, too--and someone else answered for you and said that your tank is only 24" wide--I would love to take that deal, but I think the turtles need more room than 24"--was that person that answered for you right? Let me know--I would sure love to have that $10 deal!
Thanks so much!

I don't know if you've found anything yet, but I saw this posting on craigslist.com and I figured I'd post the link...
