What kind of acan is that. I have the same looking kind as the first pic. What kind of lighting do you have.

They are lords and my lighting consists of 425 watts of 14k hallides and 440 watts of VHO.There are 2 6500 bulbs and 2 actinic bulbs.

I love it! It is one of the best things in the hobby imo. Sometimes all it takes is a little patience. I have had some corals completely change in less than 2 months.

Yah they change on me too. Most of the time I don't like it. I bought it because I liked the colors it had when I got it. But there are a couple that changed for the better. :)

Jarrod those morphed into one SWEET colony. I love 'em!! Very sweet. That is one of the greatest parts of this hobby. Sometimes you can get things to change color just by changing the "altitude" a few inches. Amazing and beautiful creatures!

I think the new morph is 1000x better than the old!

Sorry I read the first sentence and mistakenly posted photos of color morphing w/ lps :)

I posted a similar thread months ago and got very little, if any, response.

I am always expecting changes in corals when I get them. I think Acans will change as they grow up, I notice baby polyps always look different then when they grow up colors develop in the more mature polyps that are not in the baby polyps. I notice that most all corals change once they hit my water...some take months to color up to the final color, some weeks. I move stuff around sometimes to see if I can get the color I am really wanting.
