Am I nuts for changing my MH bulbs this early?

I have around 7 months on my Phoenix 250 watt d.e. MH bulbs.
I just ordered new ones, did I jump the gun or will I see a difference in brightness?

it might be good to do that, but how much better i don't really know... i don't think your crazy, but i wound not be spending the extra money if i didn't need to, but thats just me
