Need help with noisy aquafuge 2

Aquafuge 2 has a new design. I have the large model. The way the water exits allows air to get through the pipe. Its kinda noisy this way, so I ordered the medium fuge. This is now the same way (it used to have a pipe that reached almost to the bottom of the fuge and no air could get in).

Does anyone know how to make this more quiet? The sound kinda echoes through the house, especially up to my bedroom. Thanks for any help I get.
