hi there again, I friend of mine got me this calcium hydroxide bottle, he's not into aquariums, but i asked him about calcium stuff before, he's a chemist, so i was wondering if i can do anything with this, its a white soft powder, is it any good for my FOWLR , with some anemones, and mushrooms...thank you :p

you probaably won't need too much, you'll probably acheive a little better chemical balance with that load by just doing water changes

You can mix a few teaspoons with a gollon of water and use it as topoff to maintain your calcium and alkalinity levels. Or you could spread it on your lawn to sweeten the soil. Unless your into pickles. :)

Right on. Just add some to a few gallons of water, mix well, let it settle and use the supernatant for top off water. The only thing is not to add the powder itself into the tank as it can give you uncontrollable increases in pH and alkalinity.
