I went to shut off the light on my 6gal nano tonight(no timer yet) and I saw a cluster of tiny eggs shoot out from the zoas at about midnight. It is a colony of at least 100 polyps and I thought it was something under the polyps. So I watched for a few minutes and then another one shot out eggs, and another, and then the fiesta began. I ran to grab the digital camera...battery was dead  ran to check the draw for some AA no batteries :mad2:. So I go grab the video camera....two dead batteries :uzi:. After a few choice words, I plug in the batteries to charge and a bout 20 minutes later I tried it. Durring the battery malay the zoas were spawning like crazy, it went on for about an hour. Some shooting out dozens of eggs at a time and other faint clouds of sperm. So I managed to catch the last few minutes on video. As soon as I figure out how to get it onto the computer I will post it.

lol whodah, playboy better watch out.

webb, I have only had the zoas for about a month and I think it was/is a wild colony or maricultured. It is in a 6 gal stock nano. I had some frags of it in another tank and I checked them at the same time but no spawning.
