Honestly to me it looks like a sump with a small inefficient skimmer in it. For 300.00 you could get a lot more for you money.
overflow box
10-20 gallon tank with some dividers for sump.
Octopus needle wheel skimmer
mag drive 7 return pump
Will com out to under 300.00, be 20 times more efficient and flexable to your needs or changing needs in the hobby.

Well, I'm happy with it and I didnt have to spend alot of time setting it up. I think this is a good system for us non-Diy'rs.

That looks interesting wooz, so you have it? I'm not a DIY'er myself, how do you like it? Is the skimmer producing skimmate?

Yeah, so far no complaints. I just started it up on Sunday and it's not skimming much but it probably wont for the first week or so from what I've been reading. I definately think it's a good product plus I am not one to go to Home Depot and buy all the individual plumbing parts etc to hand make my own sump etc. I'll keep ya updated with any issues I run into.

It says it's rated for up to a 150 gallon tank. That's probably pushing it but that's what it says on customaquatic.com. (I have it on a 40 breeder)
