i need hekp to catch a fish out of tank

with LR, it's so hard to catch a butterfly fish out of a 50 gallons tank. I need few tricks from you .. please advice

1) Fish Trap
2) starve the fish a couple days, use a net and some "bait"
3) remove all rock and net him out
4) Use a "container" to corral him into.

Personally, the only option here that has ever worked for me is #3. Good luck!

Shop-vac.. They work like a charm! =)


The way i do it is wait until the fish is near an open corner, Then gently slide 2 sheets of eggcrate in your tank surronding him (they need to be the hieght of your tank). Then net the fish.

The fish traps do work well, I think my problem was the super smart fish I was trying to catch (a dominoe damsel). At one point, I had all 8 of my fish INSIDE the darn fish trap, but the dominoe. He knew exactly what I was trying to do.... :D
