Help, I think I have spotted something that isn't supposed to be here.

I got a frag a couple of weeks ago, it seems to be doing well, since I removed the long spine urchin. Anyways, as I was sitting and watching the tank today I noticed something moving, so I grabbed my magnafiying glass to get a better look. Out of at least 2 polyps I noticed what appeared to be a brownish/redish looking worm emerging from the mouth of the zoa. It didn't seem to bother the open polyp when it was all the way out it was blown away upon closer inspection as soon as the first was out another started wiggling out.

Any ideas what these may be? Are they harmful, how do I get rid of them?

It sounds like what I am having for dinner this evening, spaghetti, but I am having wheat noodles and not a worm. They seem to irritate but they are great poop eaters. good luck

Can you post some pics of it?
It sounds like it's just poop. Does the conoly/frag look irritated?
Polyps open or closed?
