Macro with cycle

im about 2 weeks into the cycle and i want to know if it is ok to put in macro algae in the sump. or would it limit beneficial bacteria growth?

this is one thing i'm not too sure about, but pretty certain...that i don't think it is going to effect it simply b/c the macro is going to consume the nitrates, and therefore it shouldn't effect anything since trates come when the bacteria has already converted the nitrites to nitrates.

I cycled my tank with macro in my fuge. I didn't have any problems, but now I need to trim it is growing really well. Hope this helps.

Ok this helps me a lot because i went to the fish store last night and some how ended up getting macro algae with out thinking.

The macro should be fine to add. It will consume ammonia, but since it's there for the long haul, the tank will be fine. I always have macro in my tanks.
