Salt studies?

Why has there only ever been American based salt studies, like the one shimek and borneman have done. Why the heck aren't there any international studies don't European aquarist care what salt is best? Just wondering cause it seems funny with all the advancements that say German Aquarists have contributed to the hobby (kalkwasser, calcium reactors, T5 lighting, etc.) that they would not have a salt study of their own.

Incidentally when are the results from the borneman study going to be published? Or have they?

I have read that salt companies change recipes so interpret results with caution.

ID like to know what the "best" salt is. I used IO for years, but and revamping my set up and wouldnt mind switching if there is something ebtter.

you will never get an unbiased answer. find what works well for you and stick with it.
