I just switched from a 400w xm 20k on m59 to a 10k on a son agro.

After a month burn in, it is fairly white, but I'm going to add some blue+ t5's nonetheless. I currently supplement w/ vho actinics only.

I can try to get a pic for you. :)

Hello Pete, thank you for the respond. Im looking forward to see the picture. By the way, what is Son agro? Is it HQI or standard magnetic or Electronic?

I change my lighting from 400w to 250w on HQI ballast. I want to use either XM or Reeflux. I know reeflux look really nice with HQI ballast but doesn't have much Par.

from what I have read, 400w hqi ballasts basically are 430w high pressure sodium ballasts in reality.

That is what I'm using. :)

I just took this pic, it is a tad darker than it looks, but the color rendering seems pretty accurate.

Very nice. Is the pic with atinic or without? 400w HQI ballast pushing around 500w+ on 10k bulb. If you check out sanjay website, you'll know exactly what im talking about. There is not much different between the two ballast 250w-400w in Par....

Wow your second pic look awesome. I will give ahead and order the XM bulb

yes, that is with the actinics, but it's only 2 18" vho's that are about 14months old. :p

It is very bright though, I burned a couple of things even though I decreased the lighting period a good bit for a few weeks.

Although most of my stuff is frag-sized, the growth has really picked up since moving off the 20's. :)

I am not too happy with my lighting. Hopefully with the new setup and the circular mover will light my tank up well. I just remove Zeovit out of my system.
