I have a issue that I need some help finding a solution for. Here's my issue. I am setting up a new 20 gallon long aquarium to replace my 10 gallon nano-reef in my office. Mainly softies with a few LPS. My concern is which route to take with respect to lighting. I have on hand an Icecap 430 and a URI A4 that I can snag from my 120 sps tank.( I'm only using two actinic VHO bulbs to supplement the two 250 watt 10k halides.) My question is if I should run:
A: 4 - 24" VHO bulbs
B: 2 - 24" VHO bulbs
C: 4 - 24" T5's ( using the 430 to run two, and picking up another ballast to run the other two.)
D: 2 - 24" T5's ( using the 430)
E: Something else you guys recommend.

I would really appreciate any advice or any new ideas.

The 2 24"T5's would b sweet.

Thanks BLKTANG! Do you think two 24" T5's would be enough for the 30" long aquarium? Which bulbs would you recommend?

I would go with the 4 24" vho you can stagger them to cover the full 30" and no need to buy another ballast

Thanks oldreefer76! Can you run four 24" T5's with one Icecap 430? I thought you could only run two.
