I purchased what the store called a paper snail. It has a stripped shell white, tan, brown. It is largely nocturnal and buries in the sand most of the day. The body of the snail is quite large in relation to the shell and is orchid color trimmed in white. Anyone have any info on this and any special care. I have never seen one of these before.

Thanks
Tony

Look like this?

Hydatina physis eats tiny worms that may or may not be living in your sand. They don't have a very long life cycle though, so enjoy while you can.

Cheers,

Don

Pagojoe thanks that's it. I'm not happy seeing that it is a specialized feeder. It has already laid eggs. I have plenty of polycheate worms in the tank just not sure if they are the right ones; however it has now lived for a week so maybe I'm OK.
