I bought some zoas that were beautiful (under 250k MH at the LFS) and moved them to my tank (175k MH) where one of the two varieties have failed to open at all. It has now been a few weeks ... still not open. They dont look like they are dying, yet, they just wont open. Any thoughts? All my other zoas are doing great. I've moved the colony a couple times to see if maybe it wants more flow, more/less light, etc. and nothing has worked.

wheres your salinity and pH at ? hows your water quality.. as they may not be used to or like your current water compared to the sellers water quality...
Have you done dips with lugols or FW. to see if you have a FW or bug infestation,, maybe even zoa pox starting?

Params are all within normal ranges, my SPS and other zoas are doing fine - it is just half of one colony - and just started when I put them in my tank.
Did a FW dip and didnt find anything. Also inspected colony closely.
My guess is that it is that it is a difference between seller's tank and mine that did it but I have no idea what it was.
Colony is now shrinking day by day. I moved it to an area with more flow/light (it was in a shaded/sheltered area) to see if that helps.

Funny thing is I just read somewhere of people putting the frags that don't open into a shaddy area with good flow and they usually open up after a week.
Heres my new frag, only roughly a week old, most opened up except for 1/2 of the bluish ones on this pic
