Hey all. I am thinking of adding a small (maybe 15"x12") frag rac in my fuge. Currently, I am lighting my fuge with 2 'natural daylight' spiral bulbs. I think they claim to operate at like 23 watts but put out the equivalent of 100w each... cant recall for sure though. (http://www.homedepot.com/cmc_upload...148582304_4.jpg)

I would like to place polyps, zoos, xenia, mushrooms, etc.... small frags that dont require intense lighting.. on the rack and grow em out. Any suggestions on what kind of lighting I should use? I was considering placing a PC fixture in the stand... mounting it right above the frag rack. Can someone reccomend something? Also, any other ideas as far as frags that will grow well under those conditons? If anyone has somethign similar, give me some ideas!

I would do the PC setup, that would work very well. I would get a retrofit PC setup, they are cheaper than the other PC setups. I actually have the retrofit PC setup over my frag tank without problems. It works very well.

Shrooms,my xenia did fine,GSP,Zoos, Leathers, Brains, Polyps. What you can keep depends on what wattage the PC's are. I have 2 96 watt bulbs over mine and have kept clams, LPS,SPS.

i have had shrooms growing in my sump they are all over and i have a NO flourescent fixure with one bulb plus one of those spiral daylight lamps from HD. I think you'll be fine with the PC lights.
