It's an Ocean Geometric peltier chiller/heater.
It was gonna protect this tank

when it turned into a reef, but now that I got all the equipment, I am contemplating going from the 50 to a Oceanic Tech 70g.

That is cool! :) You'll have to take some more pictures once you get it up and running.

I sure will, Slovan.
I ordered the Oceanic Tech and now I need to mount this on the side of the cabinet. Is there a kit I need to mount it on the side? I saw it mentioned in the instruction booklet, but can't find info on it anywhere.

Well, I finally got it set up on my tech tank. I'm a bit worried because it was gonna go on a 58g, but now it's on a 70g....plus a small sump. :o
I ran it for an hour or so today and was really amazed at how quite it was. I was circulating the sump water so I really couldn't gauge how much temp it would bring down in the display, but I'm sure it will do the job, from what I've seen it do for the sump. :)
I had to shut it off due the high noise from my mag 7, and lack of flow. I wish the chiller had a larger inlet/outlet than the 1/2 nipples it comes with, but oh well. I'll switch out the Mag 7 to a Quite one 4000HH later on this week. I'll also plumb it to the main tank and see what happens.
P.S. I couldn't take any pics as I was under a time constraint, but will post shots of the set up when I get a chance.
