So my ammonia and nitrites and nitrates finally dropped to 0ppm and left with lots of hairy alge. So I need some suggestions on how many and of what clean up crews for 100g

I personally like keeping nassarius snails for my sandbed and astreas/turbos for the glass. I would only add as needed or as the tank demands. So I'd start with maybe 6-8 nassarius and a mix of 10 or so astreas/turbos. Then, add as you see fit. ;)

Great advice.

I'd also add cerith snails to the mix. 6 astreas and 6 ceriths or something and 6 nassarius snails, then add as things get more or less messy. The upper bound's pretty high, though. I've got 20 some odd snails in my tank: 12-15 astreas, 1 cerith, 4 turbos and 2 nassarius. That's all in a 30 gallon. They do an awesome job.

I agree, I would also add some hermits.

Banded Trochus Snails are great cleaners.

Mix it up the natural reefs are very diverse. www.etropicals.com has prebuilt packages and buid-your-own with free shipping. Many different package to chose from.

I would say anything but whelks depending on whats going to be in the tank with the crew
