Does anyone have suggestions for which model of tunze for a 75gal tank of mainly softies.
I am debating on the 2x6000 with controller. Nervous that is too much flow. I currently run a mag9.5 for my return with about 6ft of head.
Please give me your opinons or experiences.

I have two 6000s with controller on my 75. I have mainly stonies but I do not think this would be too much flow for softies. It is only strong flow in a few places, everywhere else it is very diffuse. Some people will tell you this is overkill for softies but if you have the money I definantly say go for it. This much flow will keep your tank healthier by not letting detritus and fish food settle in the tank and rot.

Anyone else used tunze 6000 in 75?
I really could use some opinions.

I use 1 tunze 6000 on a single controller and it works good. Although uou may need to add a MJ or Seo to hit a couple of dead spots depending on your rock arrangement.

Not that it help you brtfreud, but I have the same size tank and would love some advice on this same subject!

I just wish the tunze nano 6055 was out. That would be perfect for my setup.
Tunze needs to get their production up. They could make a killing off all the people who want their stuff. Sure it is easier said then done.

I have a 6045 in my tank with the 6000 and it's perfect for my SPS, but I don't think the 6055 by itself would be enough for you. I would still recommend a 6000 on a controller.
Take care..

What do you think about two 6055 with the return at 300-400gph?
