How quick to raise temp?

Ok.... I just saw my temp was 72. My heater must of took the night off. My tank usually stays at around 79 F. overnight. Question is : How fast should I get the temp up? Will it do major harm if I turn on the Halides and plug in a spare heater I have? I also dont know when the heater broke. I assume that it took a while to drop from 79 in a system that has approx. 140 gallons.

Useing the heater, and perhaps useing the lights should raise the temp just fine, if you try to speed it up by adding warm water or anything though you will kill stuff.
I would say if it is 72, then getting it up to 79 shouldn't take to long, probablly a few hours.

That's what I figured but just trying to be safe...thanks. Temp is already 72.9
