Well I have a quick question. I have an 80 gallon aquarium thats 4 foot long (typical size). I bought it used a few weeks ago. It has one of those cool Hamilton lighting systems which has 2x250 MH and 2 T-8's (I think). There are currently 14k MH's. The bulbs are old and one is kinda burnt out. So I am upgrading today. My question is should I go with 14k's again or 10k's. The reason I ask is because my tank it very blue right now with the old 14k's and the blue actinics (sp). I know 10k's would light them up pretty good and I would have the actinics for some blue, but would it be to white during the day. I have some sps and plan on doing much more. OH and I also for got. There is no reflector in the hamilton hood. Is there a place I can find one or could I use some reflective tape. I am also going to have some softies and lps. Can I do to much light and if so, would 10k,s be to much. Well I guess I hade more than one quick question. Hopefully I have explained myself. thanks
