Would the Coralife Aqualight 150 Watt HQI Tank Mount Pendant
be insufficient to light a 31" x 19" x 19" tank with softies and fish?
It's a rimless, open tank (no hood). Hanging from the ceiling isn't an option. Would I need two of these lights, or would one be sufficent or would I be wasting my time looking at this light? My first choice would be a T5 light, which I could hang from brackets attached to the wall...but it might look awkward, which is why I was looking at this light as an alternative.

Thanks.

For softies and fish I think you would be fine. I have 2 of these lights. Originally, I used only 1 on a 40br (36x18x17 I think), and softies and lps were fine. Right now, I'm using 1 on a 20L which is 30" wide and it lights up the sides just fine.

Thanks. How is the color with the one MH bulb? Do you have a picture of the tank lit up with this light?

That's the 20L now. I think the bulb color is pretty accurate.
