Flow Question

Is there such a thing as too much flow in a tank?

I have a mega flow system, which has two external arms (for lack of a better term), that produce flow. I also have added a Koralia turbo pump, which has a rating of 1200 GPH.

One thing I have noticed is that my sand bed changes shape daily, it is moving a lot of sand. Have tried to move the Koralia to several different positions wihtin the tank.

Is this an issue?

Or is it ok, and I should not worry about it?

not a big deal and actually beneficial as long as the tank isn't a constant snowstorm and you don't have any clams or corals on the sand that could get buried. Otherwise you can try placing an irregularly shaped rock in an area where the outflow of the pumps is aimed. This can help break up the laminar currents that are causing shifting the sand.
