so the other day i was looking at my live rock and noticed that i have a nice population of bristle worms. is there anything i should be worried about and what is the best way to get rid of them?

Stop worrying. They do far more good than harm most of the time. I'd leave them right where they are.

I wouldn't try to get rid of them. They are just another part of the cleanup crew IMO.

I agree they are good for cleaning up waste. However, you do not want to get overpopulated with them. You don't want to have a tank full of big worms eating everything. In my reef I have 2 Coral Banded Shrimp and a SeudoChromis (think I miss spelled) they keep the population steady. In my Trigger tank ,I have an Arrow Crab.
I think you must have preditors for most things for a successful biosystem.

I agree, let them be.
Do coral banded's eat bristles? I've never heard that before.
