In a few weeks I'm going to have my 9 gallon nano moved to a bigger tank. I was thinking about getting a mantis for the 9 gallon - specifically a wennera species. Is this something you can get? I've read on the forums where folks have had success keeping this variety in 10 gallon aquariums. If so - how much time would you need to get one in and do you have a rough idea of cost?

I will research this and get back to you. It will take a few days.

Sorry for the delay in responding! I can get Wennerae sp of Mantis. In fact, I think Mattyice is correct in saying I have one in stock. it appears match the description given by Roy Caldwell. Thanks Mattyice!

no problem, i just thought it looked like one when i was in there picking up the two i bought, also dan i was just wondering if you could get another L. Maculata ( Dr. Roy Caldwell L. Maculata Link (http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/arthropoda/crustacea/malacostraca/eumalacostraca/royslist/species.php?name=l_maculata) ) i heard you guys had one in before and i was just wondering if when i would be looking for one you could get it in and would it pretty much be the standard mantis shrimp price?

I should be able to. I am not sure of the price. I think the L. Maculata sold for about $80. Once you are ready, let me know and I can start the process and provide pricing.

No problem - I'm still a few weeks away as far as being ready for one. If the one you have now is still available I'd likely be interested in taking it off your hands. If not - maybe you can order me one? Any idea of price?
