I have a 125 gallon reef, and want to ditch my Turboflotor multis for 1 good skimmer? I narrowed it down to the Euro RS, reef creations, Reef Devil Deluxe. Which one, and what model for SPS?

Interested in peoples responses this one. I posted a similar question earlier today with no responses.

Personally, I ran an ETS 600 with a Little Giant MDQX on system which ran close to 150g a few years ago and thought it did a great job.

I have to vote for the ETSS....for the price and performance I think it is the best one.
alot of peeps on here really like the aquaeuro's at reefnut.com. I have never used one but they good really good reviews.
All in all I am more than happy with the reef devil deluxe. I love the fact that you set it and forget it, and you dont have to mod the crap out of it to make it work. I guess I just have a problem buying a brand new skimmer knowing that I have to do all the labor and mods to make it work well....Just me I guess....LOL:D

I run an older ETSS (similar to a 600 model). The thing is fantastic, easy setup, no fuss, lots of junk coming out of the tank. DD skimmers rock!

I use an ETSS 800. The best skimmer I have ever used hands down.

I bought a used ETSS 1000 last year and have been very happy with it.

Let me ask all you etss users something. What do you think would happen if you tossed a very large NW pump with a venturi on your etss? Would it improve its performance? I've always wondered about that

I don't think it would help any. They don't need any help IME.

ETSS down draft doesn't need anything more... It's a set and forget, clean every other week and your are good to go. IMO

I understand this, but would it make the bubbles finer and make it ever better than great?

I don't know, I've never tried it. It may do something to the water / air ratio going into the unit and make it not work properly due to too much air. Give it a shot and let us know.

I don't have a DD skimmer, was just curious if anyone has ever tried it. But if your skimmers work awesome already...they why waste the money. But it could be magnificant!!!!!!!! lol
