Here is my 10G nano at two months, coming along slowly but surely. I'm running a 6700K CF, the color is kind of nasty but the corals seem to like it, so I'll leave it for now.

m1enbo1,

It's a colt coral, picked it up as a cutting from my LFS. I used the 'toothpick' method to get it to attach it my LR, took about 4 days. I would say it has doubled in size in the 1.5 months I've had it.

BLKTANG, LOL, you're missing your 10G and I'm wishing for something bigger! Thanks for the comments.

That is a very nice looking 10.
Please elaborate on the toothpick method. ( I love fancy words :D ).

edwing,
he just means poking a toothpick through the base of the coral and into the rock in a few diffrent spots. this secures the coral to the rock as it attaches and by the time the wood rots the coral is attached. it works well with meatier soft corals.

mwoneal,
your tank looks great for only being two monthes matured. lots of soft corals. i was wondering what kind of lighting you have on that tank? and if you have a plan for fish after the fish you have out grow the ten gallon?

The method I used didn't actually involve piercing the coral, just using the toothpick to wedge the coral in a rock until it took hold, then just remove the tooth pick.

natep206,
Thanks for the compliments, I'm running a 96W 6700k Coralife CF quad-tube. Honestly haven't considered long term housing, I'll let you know when I figure it out!

Thanks for the compliments everyone. At what point will the maroon start to develop it's yellow stripes?

Yellow Striped Maroons take at least one year to develop the yellow striping. (from metamorph)
