Shrimp and cycling

My tank has been up and running for almost 2 weeks. The levels have not changed with ammonia at 0, nitrite at 0, and nitrate at 20. There is 100 lbs. of live rock, cured when I bought it, and 60 lbs of aragonite, 20 lbs of which is Agagalive. I put 3 shrimps (from the grocery store, not the LFS) today to get some ammonia in the tank to get a cycle going. I guess I'm just checking, but is it ok to do this? Will it be beneficial? Will the colorful stuff on the live rock survive?

If you started w/ live rock you would not see much if any ammonia. If you have nitrates in the tank that means that a cycle has occurred. If you still want to use the shrimp though, I would take two of them out...one is MORE than enough to get an ammonia spike.
