Bubble coral ID, pls.

I recently purchased a bubble coral, so my knowledge is minimal. Please help me identify the clear reddish formation on the bubble coral. It started small and continues to get bigger.

The coral appears to be Plerogyra sinuosa- aka Bubble Coral (as opposed to pearl bubble).

that looks like cyanobacteria invading skeleton exposed by damage. common problem with the bubbles. Try to suck it off with a baster or scrape it off with a toothpick-- just be careful not to damage healthy tissue around it.
