Anyone have any suggestions on how to tell the gender of a juvenile (around 4") banana wrasse (Thalassoma lutescens), AKA sunset wrasse or green moon wrasse? I know as adults the male will be more green/blue with the pink face and the female is more yellow. But as a juvenile it seems they are both primarily yellow (from what I have found...) Anyone have any suggestions?

They are both primarily yellow, because they are the same fish. Wrasses are born female and will develop into males with time, assuming there isnt a dominant male wrasse in the tank already. Chances are, yours is still female for now.

Gotcha. I assume having a male harlequin tusk is not going to hinder the fish from changing to a male? (I would think only a male of its own species would do that)
