Hello all, thought I would share some pics of my new 40 gallon long, 48x12x17 tank. Ive been out of the reef world for about 4 years due to work, but Im back and really enjoying it. This was setup on March 17th and everything has gone quite well with a few setbacks..lights, sump, CL...etc. but I expected as much
I have a 20 gallon long sump with skimmer, returning on a mag 7. Closed loop on a mag 7 with SCWD. Lighting consist of 5 blue LED on a variable voltage from 1.5-12v, 2 blue cold cathode tubes, 2 T5NO 28w actinics, 2 T5HO 54w 10k and actinic and 2 175w 14k metal halides. I know sounds like alot but I like the easy transition from dawn to dusk. Amazing how I fit all that in a 48x12 space.
