Grows to 11 inches and will eat anything it can fit in its mouth. Nice looking fish.

I have one, housed him in a 220 gal for 2 years, only about 3" long, he has barely grown. Now he is currently sharing a 50 gal with a yellow tang. Very peaceful, eats like a pig, a lot of fun to watch.

mine was a foot, very thick and would eat anything smaller than him.

Around 12 to 13 Inches very Beautiful I have five Groupers no VTails however.

Are Vtail Grouper's known to be aggressive toreds there owner's the one that I got bite's the sh** out of me last night and to day to day he got me good

If your feeding them by hand they might nip you I have been accidentaly bitten but it was always over food.I dont think your vtail did it on purpose unless you stuck your whole hand in there and he got Territoral on you or felt threatened.
