I just bought the 50g per day RO/DI unit from coralife. The unit came almost completely together, all I had to do is put in the TFC membrane. I did that, attached the water line to my faucet and turned on the water. I watched the water flow into the first chamber, it then flowed to the second chamber, then up to the TFC filter. I then waited thinking I would see waste water coming out of the red line and the DI canister should have started to fill up. about 5 seconds later the water line blew off the faucet and I was soaked! Pretty funny to see but I can't figure out why the water gets stuck in that chamber and won't flow out. The water pressure then builds up so much that it either starts leaking from the TFC canister or just blows off the faucet again. Can you help?

Crossi92,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We are sorry to hear that the faucet connection is not working properly with your sink. This is likely caused by the threads on the adapter not properly matching up with your faucet. To prevent this from happening, we recommend installing a saddle valve to your faucet piping, as this will stand up to the pressure. If you would please PM us with your customer information, we would be happy to send a saddle valve kit to you at no additional charge.

I guess I should have mentioned this before but although I have bought many things from you guys, I did not get this from you. I was just hoping to get some advice from the experts. ESU has not responded and I know you guys sell the one I have, so thank you for the response, I will go to your website and order the saddle valve.

If you don't mind I have one more question about it. I did get that back together and tightened up, turned the water on a little lower and the water started leaking from the TFC canister itself. Any advice?

Again thank for the help, that's the last time I buy something from somewhere else!

crossi92,

We are glad to assist you with determining the problem with your RO Unit. When the TFC canister is leaking either the canister is not on tight enough or the o-ring needs to be replaced.

If you need a replacement o-ring we would recommend to contact the manufacture directly: Central Aquatics 1-800-678-8844.
