Tank looks great. Was thinking about doing an LPS dominated tank. What size tank and what lighting are you using... it works well.

Thanks for all the compliments.

AV8ers: Tank is a custom sized 48"x30"x20"H made as a divider tank with the overflow in the middle of one of the short sides. Lighting is by a dual 150W double-ended 20K metal halide, no actinic supplementation whatsoever.

GoingPostal: There are more pics in "my gallery". The full tank shots are posted, I only have 3 viewable sides. All pics taken with a Canon Powershot SD800is.

Thanks for all the compliments! :)

ReefingIt: All of the Scolys have been with me for a long time, 5+ years. Nice Scolys are becoming very hard to find, even back then, I paid a premium for them. The Scolys I see nowadays are usually striped, not the solid colors. I'm always in the market for more nice ones so if anyone sees any nice Scolys, please PM me! :)

You need a few acros in there:)

blueface: My father is evil, my father wants you to add acros to your tank too :)

driftin: The only flow I have is an Iwaki RXLT30 as a return pump split into 2 outputs, that is the only flow I have on my tank. Recently, I purchase 2 Tunze 6025s but after turning it on for a week, my corals does not seem to like it and I have turned them off since.

Nice pics Al. Yeah, those nice scolymias are hard to come by these days. Even if you find a nice one, youll have to pay a pretty penny for them.

I would love to know if you skim that tank. Equipment and maintenance? Thinking about starting an LPS only tank.

Serioussnaps: Yes, I do skim the tank but I do not have a calcium reactor and do not add any type of additives except 10% water changes every 2 months. Return pump is the only flow which is an Iwaki RXLT30. Lighting is an Aquamedic Oceanlight with dual 150W 20K metal halide, no actinic supplementation.

Beautiful tank!!!!!! The only thing missing is an Elegance. Everyone needs a little elegance in their lives.

Thaks for the reply! Seems so low maintenance...I may have to start myself an LPS only tank. :)
