Good Dosing Pump?

HI All
I want to use my AC3 Pro to dose only for a set time per day.
I will worry about the program later but I was wondering what a good pump would be? It must be able to give me a "broken stream" like flow.
Alternatively are there any valves I could use like this to turn on and off a drip?

I am using Aqua Medic Dosing Pumps - SP 3000 (http://www.marinedepot.com/aquarium_dosing_pumps_top_off_aqua_medic_SP_3000_sp3000_niveaumat_reef_doser.asp?CartId=) it works well with the exception that if you are using a DC8, it's current draw may be insufficient to shut off, I just tied a powerhead to it so it mixes my sump while the dose cycle is on. the dc4 and x10 modules work fine with it
