I'm looking at getting one of the Koralia units to replace both of my MaxiJet 1200's in my current setup. However, I don't know which unit I should be going for. Both of my 1200's have the Hydor flow deflector attachment on them which I'm sure significantly reduces the flow they put out. Would the Koralia 1 be a better match for the 2 pumps I use now? Or would you suggest the Koralia 2?

I have a 36g tank and want this to be the only pump in the tank aside from a maxijet1200 which feeds into my protein skimmer.

Raibaru,

We would recommend using the Koralia 2 pump for this application. The flow rate of the Maxi-Jet Powerhead 1200 is 295 gallons per hour and the Koralia 2 pump will pump 600 gallons per hour. This will replace the two Maxi-Jet Powerheads you currently have in your aquarium.

We hope this information is helpful. If you have further questions please feel free to contact us.
