i purchased an umbrella leather a week ago. the guy i bought it from attached it to a rock for me using epoxy to make it easier for me to place in my aquarium. today i went to SLIGHTLY adjust its position because it was touching another coral and it just ripped/tore (if that's the right word to use) from the part where it was attached. it was doing fine up until now, the polyps were opening, it was still adjusting though, the guy told me it would take a few weeks. now i'm freaking out because i'm fairly new to this and i don't know what to do right now. i have it in between some rocks right now, but it's not that well positioned. i was afraid to keep handling it. what do i do? will it be ok? any help will be greatly appreciated!

It will be fine. Try to place it where you want it and it will attach itself. If there is still some of it on the rock it tore from, you will soon wind up with two of them ;) Good luck.
