i just purchased a lawn mower blenny about three days ago and was concerned because although everywhere i have looked says they are reef safe, i noticed that a very small featherduster i had growing on one of my rocks disapeared. i was curiose as to whether the blenny would have eaten it. If so will he be a huge problem with larger feather dusters and some soft corals?

i have never heard of them going after corals and such. so i doubt it was him. he could have swam to close to it and disturbed it and the feather duster went in the tube to defend itself

nah they are safe,i had one and even though he was a lil ruff when feeding,he may had ripped its crown out while grazing.you shouldnt have a problem with corals or your featherduster.unless you have a trigger in lmb clothing.

My lmb doesn't bother my feather.. he might nibble at it while eating somethings or get interested in ti's tube and play with it.. but over all.. hes a cute lil fish ..

LMB are one of my favorite fish, they have a great personality, change into wild colors to camoflauge themselves, and very, very fun to watch, and have never harmed anything living in my tank
