IO bucket kalk reactor?

I'm looking to build a cheap, simple kalk reactor. I was thinking I could just throw in a powerhead and tap the sides... Is the gasket on the twistlid up to it?

I'm thinking a maxijet 600 on a timer mounted on the side of the bucket. Impeller shear?

Size and low maintenence are my main concerns. Any ideas on smaller containers?

I am using a bucket kalk reactor on my tank, with a MJ 600 on a timer as a mixing aid. Do a search and there are some good pics and details from about 2 years ago.
