SPS RTN what causes it??

What causes RTN? I have had an acro stag about 6 weeks and the polyps have never come out but the tips got blue and the color appeared fine, 3 days ago it started bleaching from the base and today it looked like the tissue was coming off and it was turning almost all white. Do some frags just not make it? maybe due to shipping and such?

I forgot to add that 2 weeks ago I bought a used Hamilton 14k bulb which only was supposed to have 4 months on it, it appears dim compared to the 20k ebay bulb I was using before, could it possibly be that the bulb is older then was advertised?
