I know these are not as pretty as most peoples but I figured I would share and see what everyone thought. The corals you see beside the clams are not dieing, they are being nursed back to heath. That is how I got them (I know I would get comments about them :) Let me know what you think.

This clam I have had for about 7 months and it has doubled in size.

Those are nice maximas! Did you get them from one of the online dealers? Also, I saw you were running 250w halides... what color temp do you use? Just wondering...

I got them all from LFS I was running coralvue 10k now i am running corlvue reeflux 10k and like the color a lot, Very bright and not as yellow.

Quick question is it b/c I have standard glass or does everyone have this problem? Clams look blue through my glass but if I look from top down they look like the pictures.

Thanks for the comments.

clams always look better from above than from the side. using low iron glass will make them look better from the side but never as good as form above and under direct light.

nice clams :)

Thanks,

Thats what I figured but I did not know if it had to do with the glass or if it was the way the light was hitting it. I wonder if putting under water white led's facing the clams from the front would make more of there color come out.

I will post some tonight for me. He is about 18+ wide and sure he can stretch more. My big maroon clown hosts him :) I can give hime about 5 big hole silver sides and 2 hours later he is wide open ( i dont do that often but a treat ever now and then)
I will also post a full tank shot.

The local fish store has a true blue that someone sold them. It was in the person’s tank for awhile so I know it is a true. I am thinking about picking it up but $80 is past my budget for this week :) Think $80 is a good deal for a true blue carpet?

80 for a carpet that has been in captivity is a good deal

80 for a healthy blue is a steal
