Finsreef-
your website lists the footprint of the A200-1260 recirculating skimmer as 9 x 19, whereas other websites with this same skimmer list it as 9 x 15.
which is correct?

9 x 19 is the actual space needed including the pump and outlet.

I dont suppose it can be compacted down a bit somehow, or configured differently with the pump/outlet in a way that would take up less space?
also curious why multiple other sites show the footprint as 9 x 15. are they not taking something into consideration?

When I was researching the A200, this is what I found on a very informational thread quoted below. It seems the actual plate that the skimmer sits on is probably 9"x15", but the exhaust extends beyond the base plate as well as the pump. See below info from the other thread, it is helpful to explain the question you are asking. If I were in your shoes, I would plan for 9.5"x19.5" to give yourself some space to work with as you don't want the pump pressing up right against your sump wall, that could cause a lot of vibration noise.

Well, I just received my A200 on Monday afternoon and my aquarium tech brought it over the same day and a lot of modifications needed to done to get this baby inside my tank stand and within my sump area.

You can see from this closeup that there's at least 2" that the Eheim sticks out beyond the elbow. From exhaust to elbow is 17", but to the end of the Eheim is about 19". Fins Reef has since revised their footprint measurement.

Well that's not going to work for me then. Thanks for the info.
Just out of curiosity - is there a reason why the pump sticks out so far? Seems like it shouldn't need to. But then I'm sure I dont know as much about building skimmers. Just wondering.

Its not the pump, its the exhaust :) I was also confused about this back when I bought my A150, but I clearified everything with Brian before I bought it.

You can see it here on the base of the A150.
