i just got a pinpoint ph monitor from you guys yesterday and after calibrating it and putting the probe in my sump it's flip flopping readings from 10 to 5. the probe from my ac jr is steady at 8.04 but this new monitor is going nuts.
i bought it because the ac jr is going to be running the co2 on my new cal reactor and i wanted to monitor the tank's ph.
is it a bad unit and should i send it back?

i guess i should just give you guys a call, but i have to be at work in an hour.

Hi JoeyCadre,

Thanks for the inquiry. What you described usually happens if there's any electrical interference. Make sure that your ph probe wires don't cross any other lines with power going through it. you shoudl test it away from the tank to see if it does the same.

This usually solves the problem. If it doesn't give us a call and we'll be sure to take care of you.

thanks. i'll try that.

and yes, probe wire was laying over other power lines.
